Forklift Training
Gill’s Driving School are an Accredited Training Centre with RTITB for Reach and Counterbalance Forklift Trucks.
Course Aim: To give the participants the skill and knowledge required to operate a forklift truck safely and effectively.
Course Objectives
On completion participants will be able to:
- Operate a forklift safely, reducing the risk of injury to operators and others
- Increase their operational efficiency
- Use safe operating techniques
- Refuel/Recharge forklifts safely
- Correctly position forklifts in relation to task requirements
- Forklift Certification and Pre-Check requirements
- Understand the requirements as set out in the Health and Safety Authority Code of Practice

We offer 3 Programmes depending on your requirements:

RTITB Certification is provided on successful completion of the course.
Mobile Elevated Work Platform (MEWP)
Course Aim: The aim of this course is to ensure the operator becomes competent in the safe use of MEWP by gaining the necessary skills and knowledge to operate the MEWP.
Course Objectives
On completion participants will be able to:
- Operate an MEWP safely and correctly in accordance with the manufacturer’s handbook
- Clearly understand the causes of instability while operating an MEWP
- Be able to carry out correctly a pre-use inspection of the MEWP
- Work safely at height
- Understand fully the the procedures for the emergency lowering of the MEWP in the event of an emergency
- Machine certification and pre-check requirements
